Allianz Moves Actuary to Customer-Focused Post

Matt Gray's skills will be leveraged for product development, according to Allianz' CMO.

Minneapolis-based Allianz Life has promoted Matt Gray to VP of market management and product innovation.

In this role, Gray is responsible for product strategy and development, customer experience, and customer intelligence. He also will lead Allianz Life’s competitive intelligence, market research, segmentation, and analytics efforts.

“Product innovation is a critical function at Allianz Life, and Matt has been an integral part of developing some of our most successful products,” said Allianz Life CMO Nancy Jones in a statement. “We’re thrilled to bring his leadership and actuarial expertise to the Marketing division.”

Gray has been with Allianz since 1998, most recently serving as assistant vice president for the actuarial group, working on development of new annuity products.
