Capital Insurance Group Promotes Mydam to CIO
Radhakrishna (Rads) Mydam has been appointed CIO of Monterey, Calif.-based personal lines carrier Capital Insurance Group. He replaces David Todd, who retired at the end of 2013.
Mydam's promotion to the role comes after he led several IT rollouts at Capital, including a paperless conversion in underwriting, a move to a virtual work environment, and early work on a policy administration revame that will begin this year.
He also led development of the company's mobile application, which launched last May.
Before working at Capital, Mydam also worked at John Hancock, Norfolk & Dedham Insurance Group, and Liberty Mutual.
"Rads brings a wealth of experience in development and consulting in the technology industry, and we look forward to his contribution in advancing CIG's information systems to better serve our clients and agency partners," Capital president and CEO, Peter Cazzolla says in a statement. "We also would like to wish David a happy, healthy retirement, and thank him for his long dedication and contributions to the company."
