AmeriHealth Launches Smartphone App

The New Jersey-based health insurer is making its member ID cards available through the app.

Cranbury, N.J.-based health insurer AmeriHealth New Jersey has released the AHNJ On the Go app for iPhone and Android users.

The app features:

Member ID Card
Mobile Provider Finder
Personal Health Record
Prescription Drug Pricing Tool
Open Specialist Referrals
Multi-Year Claim History

“Consumers are receiving information differently than they did five to 10 years ago and the creation of AHNJ On the Go is the result of that trend,” says Mike Munoz, VP of sales and marketing, AmeriHealth New Jersey, in a statement. “We are always striving to create a better consumer experience and a large part of that is through the use of innovative technology.”
