Pinpoint Solutions Partners with IBM

As part of an agreement that will enable its business intelligence solutions to run on an IBM (Armonk, NY) infrastructure, Pinpoint Solutions, LLC (Livingston, NJ), a provider of actuarial and financial analysis solutions for the P&C and health insurance industries, has joined IBM's Advanced Business Partner Program.

Under the agreement, Pinpoint's ProfitCube will run on IBM's DB2 database and eServer pSeries and eServer xSeries. "In addition," says Paul Theriault, senior vice president, marketing and channels, Pinpoint Solutions, "IBM will provide sales and integration services for purchasers of Pinpoint's products." Among the advantages of the agreement, adds Theriault, are that customers "will benefit from a very targeted solution with the confidence of IBM for services and infrastructure."

According to Jack Cherba, claims solution executive, IBM Global Insurance Industry, Pinpoint's analytical application suite integrated with IBM's e-business infrastructure can help insurance companies manage and modify their operating plans and become more competitive through the effective use of data.
