Managing the Document Life Cycle
for Cradle-to-Grave Compliance
Thursday, October 27, 2005
The Fairmont Hotel, Chicago, IL
8:30am-11:30am
Anxiety about increasing business transparency – and the necessity to provide an adequate audit trail – can lead to a packrat mentality when it comes to document retention and management. But ensuring that every document is kept is a far cry from responsible records management, and can actually increase both the difficulty and the risks of running the business. Documents have a life cycle: they are born, pass through a series of events, and generally arrive at a time to die. Mastering a fast growing population of paper and electronic documents is a matter of tracking them from cradle to grave: for access, for business analysis and decision-making, for compliance, and for eventual disposal to mitigate document-based risks that threaten both corporate memory and the bottom line.
What you will learn:
- creating a document management technology infrastructure
- diminishing dependence on paper records
- matching diverse compliance requirements to documents
- mastering document workflow
- reducing costly storage requirements
Network with your peers about your compliance, document & records management challenges during this ˝ day forum presented by Insurance & Technology and Patni
Who Should Attend?
This forum is an invitation-only event for Insurance executives with line-of-business, management and technology purchasing/recommending responsibilities. It is a complimentary event for qualified attendees.
