FirstBest Updates Agency Upload Platform
Bedford, Mass.-based FirstBest Systems has released FirstBest AppReader 2.0, a program that enables data upload for agents and underwriters without proprietary networks or transaction fees, according to the company.
AppReader 2.0 runs inside a browser, transforming an ACORD application into XML and enabling instant upload directly from the agent or underwriter desktop to the carrier’s systems, FirstBest claims. Benefits include lowers operational costs, improved service and response times and flexibility of deployment.
"AppReader is easy for the agent but powerful for carriers,” John Belizaire, CEO and founder of FirstBest, says in a statement. “AppReader will take the agent's PDF or form image and upload ACORD XML data directly into the carrier's processing systems."
AppReader 2.0 is available on a standalone basis, included with FirstBest Agent for a complete agent portal solution, or included with FirstBest UMS (Underwriting Management System).
“With AppReader integrated into our FirstBest UMS, Amerisafe will be able to increase our underwriting responsiveness, further enhancing our agents' experience,” Geoff Banta, president of FirstBest client Amerisafe, says in a statement. “We fully expect AppReader to increase submission accuracy and speed underwriting time-in-process, both of which will strengthen the distribution channel that is the lifeblood of our business.”
