Karen Clark & Company Introduce RiskRover

Boston-based Karen Clark & Company have launched RiskRover, a mobile inspection software to help insurers collect and analyze data from property inspections. The software, when installed on a mobile device for use in the field, allows an inspector to capture property attributes and transmit them to an online database for immediate accessibility to underwriters and other staff.

According to a press release, an inspector can use RiskRover to capture property attributes using customizable data fields, photos and videos with tags, as well as handwritten notes and sketches. In addition, the application can record the address and coordinates of a property using the GPS system of the mobile device it is installed on.

The software's RiskInsight interface allows underwriters and other staff to query and view the data and photos transmitted from the field and facilitates data extraction into catastrophe models, pricing systems and other risk analyses.

The RiskRover software can be installed on a wide variety of mobile devices that use the Windows mobile operating system.
