Accident Fund Hires New CIO

Said Tayim has experience at XL Group, State Farm, and Zurich.

Lansing, Mich.-based worker's compensation insurer Accident Fund Holdings has hired Said Taiym as CIO. He is responsible for overseeing information technology solutions across the enterprise.

"He brings impressive expertise and a proven track record of success in the insurance industry at a national and international level. We look forward to his guidance as we continue our focus on providing customers with unmatched information technology and innovation."

Taiym has 15 years of experience in technology transformation associated with underwriting, discipline-specific enterprise enablement initiatives, distribution, pricing analytics, and business intelligence, according to the company. He last was VP of IT at XL Group Services, where he was responsible for defining and executing the overall information technology vision and roadmap. He also has held IT management positions with Zurich North America Commercial, Accenture, and State Farm Insurance.

Taiym holds degrees in Management Information Systems and Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and has earned the Executive Management certification from Columbia University, as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
