MGIS Names New Underwriting Head

The company named a new IT head earlier this year.

Salt Lake City, Utah-based physicians insurance provider MGIS Companies has named William Lawrence director of underwriting.

This is Lawrence's second stint with the company. In between, he served as an independent broker. He has also worked at Unum and is an Army veteran.

He is known throughout the Physician Group Disability marketplace as a true expert on contracts, the market and disability trends; and his breadth of experience in all aspects of the physician insurance marketplace is a great complement to our team and our products," said Todd Orullian, Chief Operating Officer for MGIS Group Benefits, in a statement.
