Nationwide Mutual Completes Transaction to Purchase Nationwide Financial Services Shares

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company (Columbus, Ohio.) has completed its transaction to purchase all outstanding shares of common stock of Nationwide Financial Services it did not already own. NFS is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nationwide and a private company.

The completion of the transaction enables Nationwide to align its entire product and service portfolio around the customer, providing an even greater value proposition for current and future customers through a more differentiated "On Your Side" experience, says the insurer.
