SeeChange Taps HealthEdge for Claims, Benefits Admin

The company cited ease of configuration and speed-to-market potential as reasons behind adopting HealthEdge's HealthRules platform.

San Francisco-based health insurer SeeChange Health has implemented HealthEdge's (Burlington, Mass.) HealthRules technology platform.

"HealthEdge is providing us with unmatched claim adjudication capabilities to support our vision of delivering the next generation of benefit offerings to the market," Martin Watson, CEO of SeeChange, says in a statement. "By leveraging the HealthRules products, SeeChange is confident that we will be ready to respond quickly to market demands during this period of unprecedented change and opportunity.”

The HealthRules product suite is built on a service-oriented architecture using industry-standard database and application server technology, according to HealthEdge. It also features HealthRules Language, a configuration approach that assigns "plain-English" terms to plan benefits for easy plan development. It is available in turn-key or cloud configurations, the company says.
