SSQ Picks Guidewire Insurance Suite

The Canadian P&C carrier will implement PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter.

Quebec-based P&C carrier SSQ General Insurance Company has selected the Guidewire Insurance Suite as its new policy administration, billing and claims platform for its lines of personal business.

SSQ selected the San Mateo, Calif. vendor's platform because it wanted its new systems to be web-based, intuitive and to include workflow management and best practices tools to support its staff in attending customers, the companies said in a statement.

“Guidewire’s Insurance Suite products appealed to us as functionally strong systems designed to work well together and integrate easily with our other applications to best support our business,” Denis Delmaire, VP of IT for SSQ, says in a statement. “They are an ideal fit for our company and we are excited about the project and the possibilities that lie ahead for our employees and clients.”

Guidewire claims its platform will enable SSQ to improve the agility needed to expand its product portfolio, gain real-time visibility into core operations and information; improve efficiency of the underwriting process by providing instant access to information standards and risk-assessment tools, support allocation, prioritization and tracking of participant tasks and integrate with external partners, suppliers and other market solutions for a streamlined insurance experience.

"We look forward to working with SSQ’s team in helping SSQ successfully achieve its objectives," Guidewire CEO Marcus Ryu says in a statement.
