ACE Strengthens European Cyber Business

The appointment of a regional cyber manager reflects ACE’s focus on global cyber risk and meeting customer needs.

ACE Group has named Kyle Bryant its regional cyber manager for Continental Europe. The appointment, effective August 1st, is part of a company-wide effort to fulfill evolving customer demands.

ACE recently launched its global cyber risk practice to support the expansion of global expertise and client solutions. Bryant will collaborate with Toby Merrill as leader of this initiative and execute its strategy across Continental Europe. Specifically, he will focus on ACE’s underwriting capabilities, bringing together its international first and third-party expertise, risk management, and incident response services. Bryant will report to Grant Cairns, regional manager of Financial Lines for ACE in that region.

Bryant has been with ACE for six years and was previously AVP. His most recent responsibilities included acting as regional manager for technology and professional liability in its US Mid-Atlantic region, where he managed the successful growth of a portfolio of professional liability, data privacy, technology errors and omissions (E&O), and cyber insurance risks. Prior to that, he was executive underwriter for technology and professional liability in ACE’s New York metropolitan region.

“European brokers and clients tell us that the insurance industry still has some way to go in meeting their expectations for clearer, more comprehensive cyber risk solutions,” said Cairns in a statement. “With his extensive experience in the fast-maturing US cyber market and deep expertise in third-party liability risks, I am confident that Kyle’s appointment will help us to enhance our customer proposition in a way that responds to these market challenges in Europe.”
