ACP Interactive Introduces Claims Reporting App for BlackBerry

InsPost Auto Claims Reporting App is available to insurance carriers as a privately labeled service that enables policy holders to document and submit auto accident claims in minutes, according to the vendor.

ACP Interactive (San Francisco) has introduced the InsPost Auto Claims Reporting App, which the vendor describes as the first BlackBerry auto accident reporting application for the insurance industry.

The application uses a combination of text and voice to collect all the key information associated with a auto claim and submits it to the user's insurance carrier in less than five minutes, according to ACP Interactive. The service is currently in production and will be privately labeled for insurance carriers, a vendor source says.

"InsPost's proprietary technology combines the BlackBerry's phone and camera attributes into a smart application that speeds up the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) process for the insurance companies," says Camille Wehner, president, ACP Interactive. "The idea is to create a helpful tool for the insured. The application provides step-by-step control over the accident details, photos of the damage, complete accident description including GPS, all sent directly to the Carrier. This guarantees greater customer satisfaction and an instant, accurate account for FNOL claims handling."

"We chose BlackBerry for our first implementation because it is the most popular smartphone, with more than 25 million phones in use," Wehner adds. "We will also offer the application on the iPhone and Google Android platforms in the future, with additional features."
