Allianz Life Brings in Accenture Exec as VP of Infrastructure

Tom Mundt will also serve as the key IT contact with parent company Allianz SE.

Minneapolis-based Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has named Tom Mundt its new VP of infrastructure in the IT division.

Reporting to company CIO Jeff Palm, Mundt is responsible for assessing hardware and software options, managing provider relationships, and providing incident management. He also will serve as the key IT contact with parent company Allianz SE.

Before joining Allianz Life, Mundt was an executive in Accenture's Minneapolis office, where he helped deliver IT infrastructure outsourcing services to more than 70 North American clients.

“Tom brings a wealth of experience to this role,” Palm says in a statement. “In addition to leading global process improvements, he’s also served key clients in multiple industries ensuring top-of-the-line quality and service delivery. We’re confident that his expertise will be a great addition to the Allianz Life leadership team.”
