Capital Insurance Group (CIG), a P&C carrier serving Western states, will implement three products from Boston-based Agencyport: its AgencyPortal web-based distribution platform, the Turnstile form automation service, and the Connect5 routing and orchestration platform.
CIG's goal is "to create a differentiating online point of sale experience," it says in a statement. The implementation comes as the company is also replacing its other core systems.
“CIG is undergoing a significant multi-year core consolidation and improvement initiative,” Walt Bennett, VP of underwriting, explained in a statement. “At the same time, we recognize important revenue growth opportunities. AgencyPortal will allow us to differentiate from our competitors, drive speed to market, and provide greater automation support for both consumer and agent constituencies—all amidst backend replacement.”
