Optimum General Taps Iter8 For Broker Portal Project

The project's goals are to enhance speed-to-market for new products and services, and fully support the independent broker channel, with ease-of-use, comprehensive functionality, and overall superior system performance.

Optimum General, a Montreal-based P&C company that does business through three subsidiaries and eight regional offices, has chosen to work with iter8 (Toronto) to build what the vendor describes as a modern, connected broker portal.

Distributing its products through over 600 independent brokers, Optimum is active in four main insurance lines: automobile, personal property, commercial property and liability insurance. Optimum Informatique, the company's centralized IT group is heading the implementation of the new broker portal, with iter8 providing its communic8 product licensing and services to ensure the portal is fully connected to brokers and third-party information sources.' communic8 supports all North American standards including ACORD and CSIO AL3 and XML, and proprietary services and networks, according to the vendor.
