UnumProvident Corp. (Portland, ME) is expanding its sales support center to include telephonic support for large multi-life sales. The service provides immediate access to product and plan information during enrollments for individual income protection, long-term care and voluntary life insurance products offered by the carrier's operating subsidiaries.
Hartford Life, a Simsbury, CT-based subsidiary of The Hartford, has gone live with an Internet-based annuity sales platform powered by AnnuityNet (Leesburg, VA) for its network of more than 1,700 broker/dealers and their representatives.
A paperless solution for annuity contract distribution has been implemented by MetLife Investors Group (Newport Beach, CA), working with Docucorp (Dallas). Through the solution, affiliated financial intermediaries and captive agents will receive digitized annuity contracts, providing MetLife Investors a savings of 90 percent over production and distribution of traditional paper contracts, according to Docucorp.
