Fiserv Inc. (Brookfield, WI) named Terry Wade president of the Fiserv Insurance Services Group. Wade most recently worked with a private equity firm providing advice on opportunities in the insurance technology and marketing space.

KALEN AT THE HARTFORD

The Hartford Financial Services Group (Hartford), as part of its effort to increase sales of individual life insurance through multiple distribution channels, named Michael Kalen senior vice president and director of individual life distribution.

LOW JOINS EREINSURE

EReinsure (New York), a provider of e-commerce technology for negotiating reinsurance, has appointed James Low director of business development. Low will be responsible for developing the company's client base.

RANDO JOINS JEFF. PILOT

Carol Rando has joined Jefferson Pilot Financial (Greensboro, NC) as vice president of marketing and distribution operations. Rando joins Jefferson Pilot from Citigroup/Travelers Insurance, where she served as the chief operating officer of life distribution, Travelers Life and Annuity.

HUNT NAMED CEO

Allentown, PA-based Penn Treaty American Corp.'s board of directors has appointed William W. Hunt CEO. Hunt is currently president and COO. He will succeed Penn Treaty's current CEO, Irving Levit.
