Nan Shan Readies Infrastructure Revamp with SAP

The Taiwanese life insurer has named the strategy "Envision."

Nan Shan Life Insurance Company, a Taiwanese carrier, has inked a contract with SAP to rework its core systems.

Nan Shan has selected the SAP ERP application, SAP CRM application, SAP BusinessObjects business intelligence, SAP Mobile Platform and the SAP HANA platform. The multibillion dollar agreement forms the foundation of a project the insurer has named "Envision." Its objectives are:

  • To build a CRM platform that incorporates channels, clients and employee data in a centralized location
  • To reform processes through the improved efficiency of integrated IT systems and exclusive data and management reports
  • To maximize the efficiency and value of all business processes, including operations management, finances and investment accounts
