PMA Chooses Guidewire

PMA Insurance Group has selected Guidewire's ClaimCenter software for claims handling and customer service enhancements.

In an effort that will ultimately lead to the retirement of its current claims system, Blue Bell, Pa.-based PMA Insurance Group will deploy Guidewire (San Mateo, Calif.) ClaimCenter for all its lines of business including workers' compensation, commercial auto, commercial multi-peril, general liability and umbrella insurance.

According to a press release, PMA will look to the new, web-based claims system for enhanced customer service. The carrier describes the application as intuitive and user-friendly and expects that those features will allow the claims team to work more efficiently and thus focus more on the claims adjudication process.

"Its use of business rules provides a flexible and cost effective solution to meet the needs of our business and servicing our customers," says PMA senior vice president and chief information officer Jim Klotz in the press release.
