Travelers Launches Agent Training Program

Hartford-based Travelers has launched AgentU, a classroom, virtual and field-based approach to agent education, the company announced on Monday. The new platform will provide multiple learning opportunities for independent agents through traditional classroom instruction, online classes and regional seminars, according to a press release.

Travelers execs suggested in the release that agents look to the company for training opportunities. "In these economic times we're proud to be investing in our agents by creating a training solution that's available 24/7 and is fast and easy to use," Patrick Kinney, president, field management, Travelers, said in the release. "AgentU provides agents with multiple options so they can choose when, where and how they want to learn, and most importantly, maximize their sales opportunities."
