UniRisX Appoints David Piesse as New Chairman of Asia Pacific Operations

UniRisX, LLC, (Philadelphia) has appointed David Piesse as Chairman of Asia Pacific Operations. In his new role, Piesse will be responsible for leading the global on-demand insurance technology provider's Asia Pacific customer expansion efforts from the organization's newly established Hong Kong office. Piesse, who most recently headed the global insurance and financial services, Asia Pacific, practice for Sun Microsystems, brings more than 30 years of global experience to UniRisX. He has specialized knowledge of bancassurance, Islamic insurance, microinsurance, brokerage, agency and non-financial channels within global/Asia Pacific markets, plus entry of insurance into social networks.

Piesse began his career at Lloyd's of London. He also spent five years with the United Nations in natural disaster risk management and has extensive practitioner experience in developing markets.
