4Sight BI Version 3 Includes P&C Mobile Analytics Capabilities

The vendor's "affordable" solution, containing dashboards and over 70 configured reports, enables users in multiple areas of a property/casualty carrier to uncover meaningful patterns and correla­tions that may otherwise be hidden with standard analysis and reporting.

4Sight Business Intelligence, an Austin, Texas-based provider of off-the-shelf, property/casualty specific business intelligence (BI) products, has released Version 3.0 of its 4Sight Business Intelligence for Property & Casualty product, which the vendor describes as a complete, affordable solution with over 70 preconfigured reports, dashboards and hundreds of analytics for use in underwriting, claims, billing, reinsurance and other areas.

The vendor asserts that Version 3 continues to provide a tightly coupled data integration and business analytics platform built to enable users to more quickly and easily collaborate and iterate to achieve better analysis and make better business decisions.

Some of the most important new features of the produce include location-based visualization analysis and enhanced analytics capabilities for business users; geo-mapping, heat grids, scatter/bubble chart visualizations; interactive visual analysis, such as lasso filtering, zoom and attribute highlighting on all chart types; interactive reporting enhancements designed for non-technical users; and in-memory cache performance improvements.

Version 3 of 4Sight BI also included mobile business analytics capabilities, such as giving mobile business users complete data discovery and interactive analysis capabilities through what the vendor calls a powerful visual experience on the iPad and other mobile devices. 4Sight claims that mobile users of the product can instantly become more productive by accessing, analyzing and sharing business information from anywhere.

"The powerful, state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and data processing tools enable users to uncover meaningful patterns and correla­tions that may otherwise be hidden with standard analysis and reporting," a 4Sight statement asserts. "These sophisticated, advanced analytics help plan for future outcomes based on a better under­standing of prior business performance."

Other features of Version 3, according to the vendor, include:

- Point and Click access to any data Web-based data access wizard for business users;

- Powerful data integration and federation for IT and developers;

- Access to any data type from Excel to Hadoop;

- User-driven interactive reporting;

- Intuitive web-based interactive reporting for business users;

- Rich graphical enterprise report designer for power users;

- Output in popular formats: HTML, Excel, CSV, PDF and RTF;

- Scalable in-memory caching for speed-of-thought results;

- Interactive Dashboards;

- Rich graphical visualizations with navigation, drilling and a rich library of filter controls;

- Web-based drag and drop dashboard designer for business users;

- A rich library of interactive visualizations to find patterns and anomalies such as geo mapping, heat grids and scatter/bubble charts; and

- Drill down into supporting reports and dashboards
