Cigna Selects Altegra Health For Analytics

Cigna chooses platforms for analytics and customer engagement.

Cigna Corporation, based in Bloomfield, Conn, has selected Altegra Health, a technology and consulting firm, to enhance enrollee communications and engagement for the new commercial health insurance market place, as well as analytics.

“We anticipate that many of our newest customers will never have had health insurance before, making it even more important that they completely understand how to easily access and use their health services to achieve their full potential,” says Manish Naik, VP of Cigna’s individual and family health plans, in a release.

Naik adds, “Altegra Health’s technology platforms and analytics will make it easier for Cigna to service the needs of our customers as we work to help them improve their health, well-being and sense of security.”

Insurance Policies Sold Digitally Will Double, Says Accenture

Cigna will be using RISK View, a web-based analytics and reporting platform to manage risk adjustment and financial performance. To strengthen the relationship with customers, Cigna will use SMART Connect, an interactive communication platform.

Cigna will also be using a suite for coding and medical record recovery services for risk adjustment in the commercial market called CODE Complete.

“By combining our risk analytics, member engagement, and other healthcare performance solutions, health plans like Cigna are able to simultaneously meet required Affordable Care Act requirements, manage their data submission and risk analytics components, and gain a more fully-engaged relationship with their health plan enrollees,” says Kevin Barrett, president and CEO of Altegra Health.
