Answer Financial, Inc. (Encino, CA), launched Answer For Partners, a program that opens the firm's answerfinancial.com Web site and integrated call center to a direct market of more than 15 million consumers via Web site partners. Consumers who click through the affiliated sites to answerfinancial.com can receive free online quotes and purchase coverage from among 175 competing carriers.
Travelers Insurance (Hartford) announced at this week's ACORD Technology Conference 2001 that it has completed a proof-of-concept for its real-time single-entry, multiple carrier interface (SEMCI) capability, in collaboration with AMS (Windsor, CT) and TowerStreet (Bedford, NH). Using ACORD XML standards, the companies interfaced with the carrier to demonstrate real-time quoting capability for Travelers' Store Pac business owners' (BOP) policy. The carrier says the SEMCI capability will be expanded to agents who use AMS's Sagitta agency management system and/or TowerStreet's online point-of-sale products
E-commerce software developer Allfinanz (Richmond, VA) received ACORD XML for Life Insurance Certification for its new xpertMatch automation solution, which facilitates the sale and purchase of financial service products through virtual distribution communities (VDCs) on the Internet. At the ACORD conference, Allfinanz demonstrated the solution's capacity to speed the underwriting process, in conjunction with the developer's xpertBridge multiple-channel distribution software and applications from eNable (Westwood, MA), E-Z Data (Pasadena, CA) and Insurance Technologies (Colorado Springs, CO).
