Identifying the Insurance Industry’s Tech-Savvy CEOs

The highest degree of business alignment and the most strategic use of technology depends on informed support on the part of an insurance company's leadership.

The highest degree of business alignment and the most strategic use of technology depends on informed support on the part of an insurance company's leadership. The achievement of every great CIO is therefore the result of collaboration with a CEO who understands the power of technology for the insurance enterprise. In recognition of the CEO's contribution to those achievements, Insurance & Technology will publish its annual Tech-Savvy CEOs report in our June issue.

I&T invites all of its readers to nominate insurance company CEOs they believe deserve this honor. We will choose five CEOs who have played an indispensable role in ensuring successful technology strategies. Some CEOs have deep insight into the potential of technology based on past experience. Some make a study of emerging technology in order to evaluate solutions and strategies that fit their company's business. Some have the ability to surround themselves with technology visionaries and the appreciation of IT as an essential component in an information-driven industry.

Who do you think of as a "Tech-Savvy CEO"? Whether you're a technology or business executive at an insurance carrier, a vendor, consultant or analyst, we'd like to hear your opinion. Please send nominations to Anthony O'Donnell, senior editor, Insurance & Technology, at [email protected]. Please include reasons the CEO should be considered for the honor, including specific technology-related results the company has enjoyed under his or her direction. Nominations must be received by March 8.
