Koorosh Begian Named AXIS CIO

Koorosh Beigian has joined AXIS Capital Holdings (Pembroke, Bermuda) as executive VP and CIO. Beigian will manage AXIS Capital's global information technology organization from the company's New York offices and will report to John Murray, the company's chief operations officer.

Beigian was formerly Global Chief Technology Officer at ACE Group (Zurich, Switzerland), with responsibility for all aspects of ACE's IT infrastructure on a global basis. Prior to joining ACE Group, Koorosh served as Global CIO at Combined Insurance Company of America (Chicago) where he had responsibility for all aspects of IT service delivery across the carrier's supplemental insurance products group.

"Koorosh has deep experience leading IT functions at major financial services companies and is well respected in the industry for the breadth and scope of his knowledge," comments Murray. "We expect to leverage his expertise to maintain and augment our IT capabilities."
