ACORD’s Board
Prudential (Newark, N.J.) SVP and CIO Barbara Koster has been named chairperson of ACORD’s (Pearl River, N.Y.) board of directors, and Clement Booth, a member of Allianz’s (Munich) management board, has been named chairman-elect.

Farmers Promotions
Farmers Group (Los Angeles) promoted Markus Nordlin to SVP and key account executive, global IT. Also, Nancy Truel was promoted to VP and executive director, operations, Farmers Specialty.

Wellpoint Names McCarthy SVP, COO
WellPoint (Indianapolis) promoted Gloria McCarthy to SVP and COO. She will be responsible for overseeing operations, actuarial management and the medical management unit for the East Region. McCarthy previously served as EVP and COO of WellChoice.

New UniRisX VP
UniRisX (Marion, Iowa) named Larry Hanover VP, North American operations. Hanover most recently was a senior sales representative for North America for SunGard Sherwood Systems (London).

Converium CEO
The board of directors of Converium Holding (Zurich) appointed Inga Kristine Beale CEO. At the time of her appointment, Beale was CEO and chairman of the board of GE Frankona Rckversicherungs AG (Munich).
