STATE COLLEGE, PA. - Optical Image Technology, through a partnership with SER Solutions (Dulles, Va.), released the DocFinity Associative Search module. The module reportedly integrates seamlessly with the vendor's DocFinity Suite of products. SERglobalBrain is the foundation of the solution, allowing it to exceed traditional search and retrieval solutions, understanding the meaning, content and context of information, regardless of file format or source, OIT claims. DocFinity Associative Search module highlights hits within a document and color codes them based on relevance; because of the algorithms used to create result sets, misspellings have no effect on the search. Other features include the ability to search for patterns and meaning, rather than just keywords.
