Abe Yaknour Named Crum & Forster CTO
Crum & Forster (C&F, Morristown, N.J.) has named Ahmed (Abe) Yaknour chief technology officer. In his new role, Yaknour will be responsible for the architecture of C&F's infrastructure, as well as all network and desktop management. Yaknour is based at C&F's Morristown corporate offices and reports to Steve Mulready, Executive VP.
Yaknour will retain his role as VP and CIO of Seneca Insurance, a New York City-based C&F subsidiary. He joined Seneca in 1988 and held various management positions in their IT Department before being named to his most recent position in 1992. He received a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering from Banha University in Cairo, Egypt; a Masters in Computer Science from Queens College, NY; and an M.B.A. in International Business from Pace University, NY.
"Abe brings a strong background of IT and systems technology experience to this role," comments Mulready. "And, having been part of the C&F organization for over 10 years, Abe has an understanding of Crum & Forster's technology capabilities. He will be working in conjunction with Nicole Bennett, C&F's chief information officer, to frame the company's infrastructure, simplify the technology platforms across the C&F organizations, and develop the appropriate technology strategy for the company going forward."
