Accenture Contracts Announced

New clients include CNA, Safeco and Southern Farm Bureau Life.

CNA Financial Corporation subsidiary Continental Casualty Company has signed a five-year BPO contract for Accenture to administer certain annuity and retirement-related products that CNA no longer underwrites.

Safeco (Seattle) has chosen Accenture to help it implement a new product development system for the carrier's personal and commercial lines businesses. The initiative, centered on the vendor's recently launched Accenture Insurance Configuration Components solution, is aimed at centralizing and enhancing Safeco's product development capabilities across all geographies, according to an Accenture source.

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Co. (Jackson, Miss.) has selected the Web-based Accenture Life Insurance Platform to provide the carrier's distributors with the capability to complete and submit policy applications online.
