Accenture Names New Financial Services Head
New York-based Accenture has named Richard Lumb group chief executive–financial services, effective December 1. He succeeds Pierre Nanterme as head of the division; Nanterme will become Accenture’s CEO January 1, 2011.
Lumb has been senior managing director of Accenture’s financial services operating unit in Europe, Africa and Latin America since June 2006. Prior to that, he served as managing director of business and market development in the financial services operating group. He joined the company in 1984.
“I am thrilled to have Richard join our executive leadership team and run our Financial Services operating group,” William Green, Accenture’s chairman and CEO, says in a statement. “He brings to the job a strong track record leading the group’s largest regional unit and fostering and developing our major global financial services client relationships. Richard’s contributions to Accenture’s success over the past 26 years have been significant.”
