REBUSIS ACQUIRED
Business process outsourcing and back-office service provider Xchanging (London) has acquired RebusIS (London). RebusIS' commercial and technological expertise will help Xchanging expand further into the global insurance market, claims Xchanging. The combined group will have revenues of $360 million and will employ 1,800 people in the U.K., U.S., Bermuda, continental Europe, India, Malaysia and Thailand.
LEARN.NET DEAL
InsuranceStudy.com (Northbrook, Ill.) and Atlanta-based Learn.net announced a partnership that will allow continuing education courses from InsuranceStudy.com to be available to Learn.net's online customers.
METASERVER PARTNERS
New Haven, Conn.-based Metaserver, Inc., a provider of business process integration software solutions for insurance, is partnering with Edgewater Technology, a Wakefield, Mass.-based consulting and systems integration firm. The packaged solution enables P&C carriers to respond to agency requests in real time, says Metaserver.
IBM, XOSOFT FORM DEAL
Business continuity software solutions provider Xosoft (Burlington, Mass.) will work with Armonk, N.Y.-based IBM to develop real-time software mitigation tools for the IBM TotalStorage SAN File System. Xosoft's WANSync will provide a non-disruptive data mitigation feature allowing customers to migrate data without taking servers off-line or rebooting systems, according to Xosoft.
