PRIMUS BUYS AMACIS
Primus Knowledge Solutions (Seattle) has acquired Belfast, Ireland-based Amacis Group Limited, a provider of e-commerce management solutions to global enterprises. The deal will extend Primus' breadth in the e-service marketplace by adding e-mail and wireless technologies to Primus' customer service and support software solutions, claims Primus.
FERACOM JOINS RSAS
Eracom Technologies (Rose-ville, Calif.), provider of cryptographic technologies and solutions, announced it is joining RSA Security's (Bedford, Mass.) Secured Partner Program to provide an identity and access management solution between ProtectServer Orange, a FIPS 140 Level 3 certified hardware security module, and RSA Keon digital certificate software.
GUIDEWIRE/1ST NOTICE
First Notice Systems Inc. (Boston), a provider of claims reporting solutions, and Guidewire Software (San Mateo, Calif.), a provider of claims solutions to property and casualty and workers' compensation insurance companies, have formed a strategic alliance that will result in providing insurance carriers with an end-to-end claims reporting and management solution.
EPOLICY/ODEN PARTNER
ePolicy Solutions, Inc. (Torrance, Calif.), a policy administration solutions provider, has formed a marketing agreement with ODEN Insurance Services, Inc. (Tulsa, Okla.), a provider of regulatory research and compliance products.
RENDERX/ASSENTIS PARTNERSHIP
Renderx, Inc.(Palo Alto, Calif.), provider of a Java-based, commercial grade XML rendering engine and Assentis Technologies AG (Rotkreuz, Switzerland) which markets XML-based business document solutions have agreed to enter into a strategic alliance. The partnership will allow for the delivery of enhanced products and services to joint customers worldwide, claim the companies.
REPORTING PARTNERSHIP
Allenbrook Inc. (Brunswick, Maine), a consulting service for the P&C industry has formed a partnership with Whitehill Technologies, Inc. (Moncton, New Brunswick). Whitehill provides carriers with the ability to extract system data. According to the vendors, the partnership will increase a carrier's ability to meet stringent reporting requirements with cost efficiency.
RESELLER AGREEMENT
Document Sciences Corp. (Carlsbad, Calif.) and WorldGroup (Emeryville, Calif.) have announced a reseller agreement that will enable WorldGroup to incorporate Document Sciences' xPression content processing services as part of WorldGroup's InsureWorx component library.
LINUX FONT DEAL
Redmond, Wash.-based Lycoris, an open source application provider, and Bistream Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.), provider of font technology, have made a long-term agreement. As part of the deal Lycoris has licensed 40 high-quality Bitstream fonts for the Lycoris ProductivityPak. Lycoris selected the fonts from Bitstream's library of over 900 fonts.
