Connecture (Atlanta) has teamed with Microsoft Corp. (Redmond, Wash.) to broaden the functionality of Connecture's InsureConnect product suite, which enables health plans to automate sales and underwriting processes, by embedding Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.

PMI Rolls With Delta
PMI Dental Health Plan (Cerritos, Calif.) has merged with parent company Delta Dental of California (San Francisco), effective as of Jan. 1, 2007, to streamline administrative processes and eliminate duplicative processes. PMI and Delta administer dental benefits for millions of enrollees in 16 states and the District of Columbia.

Anthem Pilots ePrescriptions WellPoint (Indianapolis) subsidiary Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Indianapolis) has launched an e-prescribing pilot program in two Ohio communities to help reduce medication errors and the time physicians spend managing prescriptions. Implementation partners include MedPlus (Mason, Ohio), RxHub (St. Paul, Minn.) and SureScripts (Alexandria, Va.).

SEEC and IBM SOA Integrate Pittsburgh-based SEEC has been accepted into the IBM (Armonk, N.Y.) SOA Specialty after completing IBM's SOA technical and business requirements. The SEEC Advantage Library of prebuilt standards-based SOA business components now integrates with the IBM SOA Foundation.
