Allianz Brings in New VP of Operations Controls
Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has named Denise Settimi vice president of operations controls for the Minneapolis-based insurer’s enterprise operations department. She had been COO for The Hartford.
Settimi’s responsibilities include driving adherence to consolidated controls and suitability-like functions; providing strategic leadership on regulatory and compliance requirements; and overseeing underwriting, risk management, suitability, special markets and customer relations.
“Settimi brings an abundance of experience in the financial services industry along with extensive background in strategic thought leadership,” Cathy Mahone, senior vice president of enterprise operations at Allianz Life says in a statement. “We are eager to utilize her talents for the benefit of the entire organization.”
Allianz promoted Andy Dulka to vice president of IT infrastructure and application maintenance in January. He told Insurance & Technology that his main goal is to make sure Allianz’s infrastructure is best positioned for a rapidly changing market.
The insurer also named Kara Barrow senior counsel in February.
