Allianz France Signs TomTom for Telematics

The insurer is preparing a usage-based insurance program.

Alllianz France has chosen TomTom telematics technology to power its upcoming Allianz Conduite Connectée product.

A TomTom LINK 100 device in the vehicle will send actionable data, which consumers can use to assess their driving by providing data via a new smartphone app. The system also can alert Mondial Assistance emergency services in the event of a vehicle crash.

We have partnered with TomTom Telematics because it offers a market-leading technology platform with a proven track record for the highest standards of reliability and service," said Delphine Asseraf, Head of Digital, Allianz France, in a statement.
