Allianz Life Hires Kara Barrow as Senior Counsel

Allianz Life (Minneapolis) has appointed Kara Barrow as new senior counsel. In this role, Barrow will handle litigation and regulatory matters, reporting to Scott Bowman, vice president, litigation and regulatory, according to an Allianz life news release.

"Kara has extensive experience counseling businesses on a broad range of issues, including litigation, risk assessment and regulatory/compliance issues," comments senior vice president and general counsel Maureen Phillips. "Allianz is fortunate to welcome someone with her litigation experience to our legal team."

For the past 13 years, Barrow has worked as an attorney with Minneapolis law firm of Faegre & Benson, LLP, serving as a partner in the firm for the past seven years. While at Faegre & Benson, Barrow worked on a variety of complex commercial and intellectual property litigation matters, including class action, regulatory, and attorney general matters. Prior to Faegre & Benson, Barrow clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
