Alterra Appoints First Chief Claims Officer

Hamolton, Bermuda-based specialty insurer Alterra Capital Holdings has appointed Nicholas Conca as the company's first chief claims officer, insurance.

"Nick is a highly-qualified claims professional with an impressive track record of leading large claims and other teams in a variety of insurance organizations," says Marty Becker, president and CEO of Alterra, in a statement. "Nick will be tasked with ensuring that we continue to provide a consistently high level of claims service to our insurance policyholders worldwide."

Conca was most recently Executive Vice President, US Operations for Integro Insurance Brokers. He has also worked at Frank Crystal, Liberty International and Reliance National. Joining Alterra for good in November, Conca will be based in its New York office.
