Amica Life Selects StoneRiver Underwriting Platform

LifeSuite features a rules-based, configurable engine, the companies say.

Lincoln, R.I.-based Amica Life Insurance Company has extended its partnership with Oakland, Calif.-based StoneRiver with the addition of the LifeSuite automated underwriting system.

“LifeSuite will allow us to proficiently triage cases based on plan specific criteria, providing for a streamlined underwriting process, including auto issue capabilities,” says Steve Dolan, VP at Amica Life, in a statement.

The company also uses Life Portraits ES and the ID3 policy administration system from StoneRiver. LifeSuite's rules-based engine is configurable with the base system rules set augmented by client-specific rules and automates the evidence collection via ACORD-compliant connections. The system integrates with Microsoft Outlook for efficient field communications and the LifeSuite Portal provides an agent view of cases going through the underwriting process.
