Amica Taps CheckFree i-Solutions for EBPP

Embracing the concept of "anywhere, anytime" service, Amica Mutual Insurance Co. (Lincoln, RI, $3.7 billion in assets) has implemented Atlanta-based CheckFree i-Solutions' integrated software and services to provide electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) services to its customers. Customers can now receive and pay bills at more than 250 financial services Web sites.

Amica's customers have been using CheckFree i-Solutions' electronic bill payment technology since 1996, says Rick Edwards, assistant vice president, Amica. In the past, customers would have their bills sent by mail and then they would have the option of paying online at one of CheckFree's bill payment sites. "Now customers can receive a bill electronically, as well," he says.

Edwards adds that customers can receive bills by visiting Amica's Web site (www.amica.com) directly. Customer summary information can be accessed at one of the financial services Web sites belonging to the CheckFree network. These sites will provide links to Amica's Web site for customers who want to see a detailed copy of their bills.
