Applied Systems Acquires Artizan Internet Services
Applied Systems (University Park, Ill.) has acquired Artizan Internet Services (Windsor, Conn.) in a move to expand its offerings to include online communication capabilities between insurance agents and policyholders. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Artizan's CSR24 product allows agents to offer agency-branded, online customer service, including on-demand access to their policy information and documents; as well as 24-hour web- and phone-based claims reporting. Applied Systems' TAM, Epic and Vision agency tools already integrate with the product; the companies expect more synergies post-acquisition.
“We heard the agent and broker community clamoring for secure 24/7 connection to their own customers, and we knew this was the next level of service we could provide for insurance professionals,” Applied Systems chairman and CEO James Kellner says in a statement.
Artizan will continue to make products that work with other companies' agent offerings besides Applied, it said. Its entire staff and headquarters will remain in place.
