Armed Forces Insurance Goes Live With StoneRiver FAB Billing

StoneRiver FAB Billing met the carrier's aim to provide its armed services policyholders flexibility to customize bills to meet their unique situations, whether deployed abroad or within the United States.

Armed Forces Insurance (AFI, Leavenworth, Kan.) has gone live with StoneRiver's (Oakland, Calif.) FAB Billing systems. AFI policyholders are active-duty, former and retired military and family members.

"We have a long history with StoneRiver," comments Carroll Haverkamp, vice president, finance and treasurer, AFI. "When we researched FAB Billing functionality we quickly recognized that it had the advanced capabilities we needed. A primary consideration was to provide our members the flexibility to customize their bills to meet their unique situation, whether deployed overseas or stationed in the states, and then have the ability to follow up with enhanced payment options tailored to meet the needs of members of the Armed Forces."

The Java-based FAB Billing handles the complexities of premium billing with functions that addresses specific insurance needs, according to the vendor. Popular features include electronic funds transfer, agency reconciliation, cash with application management, StoneRiver reports.
