Aviva Selects Lombardi for BPM

Aviva has selected business process management (BPM) products and services from Austin, Texas-based Lombardi to support the carrier's strategic process improvement efforts globally, it was announced today in a Lombardi press release.

The London-based insurance group will utilize Lombardi Teamworks, the company's flagship BPM suite, as well as Lombardi Blueprint, a wiki-like software as a service (SaaS) process documentation and collaboration tool.

Aviva is already using the Teamworks suite within its human resources (HR) employee joiners, movers and leavers (JNL) process to improve "time to productivity" for new employees and simplify coordination efforts between line managers, HR and IT. "Our new Teamworks-based process has helped us to create a more joined up and efficient way of managing our people across Aviva's group centre. It has become a crucial resource for our business and allows managers to spend more of their time on value-add activities," Deirdre Galvin, business director to the chief executive at Aviva, said in the press release.

Meanwhile, Aviva has also leveraged the Blueprint solution to map and refine its IT Quality Management System (QMS) in its United Kingdom general insurance business, linking hundreds of employees across disparate locations enabling them to collaborate and document processes in near real-time.
