BCBS Nebraska Picks NaviNet for Provider Communications
Omaha-based BlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) has selected Cambridge, Mass.-based NaviNet's Insurer Connect for its provider communications.
Providers doing business with BCBSNE will have secure, online access to BCBSNE information in real-time, including local and BlueExchange eligibility and benefits, claim status and claims remittance, according to a statement from the companies. Providers will get NaviNet services free from BCBSNE as well, the companies add.
“Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska conducted an exhaustive search to identify a well-established and innovative company to develop solutions to deliver our providers secure, electronic access to patient, physician and benefits information,” Lee Handke, VP of health network and wellness services for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska, says in a statement. “We selected NaviNet because of its cutting-edge technologies, its leadership position in the market and its reputation for being customer-focused.”
