It’s no secret that insurers are struggling to keep up with the myriad of changes in the industry. They are challenged with bringing products to market faster and for less cost and to mitigate risk. IBM has developed an insurance-specific framework that accelerates the project development process across the enterprise. This process acceleration, explains Tim Rose and Sanjay Motwany with IBM Software Group, uses SOA models, software assets, process services and partner capabilities to enable insurers to deploy projects on an as-needed basis and minimize their investments. Using building blocks from the WebSphere Business Services Fabric framework, insurers can dynamically assemble applications and reuse functions from existing systems to decrease deployment costs without sacrificing business agility.
