RMS Releases New Risk Tools
Risk Management Solutions (RMS; Newark, Calif.) released RiskTools, a software development kit for its RiskLink and RiskBrowser systems that allows companies to integrate key components of RMS products into their internal underwriting and portfolio management systems and to access RMS decision support tools via internal system interfaces, the vendor says.
"RiskTools gives an insurer with a far-flung underwriting organization the ability to deploy enhanced risk management functionality much more quickly and with a substantially reduced learning curve," says Justin Barrow, director of product marketing at RMS. "The insurer's time, cost and effort to train underwriters for a new process are all mitigated because the insurer's existing infrastructure remains at all times the basis for the underwriting workflow."
RiskTools also allows insurers to avoid redundancies in data entry that can occur when using multiple systems to analyze a submission, according to Barrow.
