Chubb Provides Paper-Free Solution to Agents

Chubb Commercial PaperFree, available to agents using Applied Systems or Vertafore agency management systems, improves on the former procedure of agents receiving a paper copy of documents through the mail or accessing them via Chubb's Web site prior to scanning them and uploading them to their agency management system.

The Chubb Group (Warren, N.J.) has introduced a paperless solution that the P&C carrier characterizes as revolutionizing the way agents access electronic versions of their commercial customers' policies and related documents. The Chubb Commercial PaperFree capability is available to all U.S. agents using the Applied Systems (University Park, Ill.) and Vertafore (Bothell, Wa.) agency management systems, according to a Chubb press release.

"Chubb Commercial PaperFree helps agents get the job done more efficiently by giving them electronic access to their commercial customers' policy documents 24/7 within their own agency management system. There's no more logging onto a website or requesting a paper reprint," comments Dawna Yont, assistant vice president and branch services manager, Chubb.'"This new program helps agents save time, keep a lid on expenses, and reduce both Chubb's and the agency's carbon footprint."

Chubb Commercial PaperFree improves on the previous procedure of agents receiving a paper copy of documents through the mail or accessing them via Chubb's Web site prior to scanning them and uploading them to their agency management system, the Chubb release implies. The new solution lets agents access electronic versions of their clients' policy documents, including new lines, renewals, rewrites, endorsements, audits, cancellations and more, without having to log onto the Chubb Web site, the carrier source says.'Agents using the Applied Systems or Vertafore agency management systems — a group comprising roughly 90 percent of U.S. agents, according to Chubb — may choose to receive an electronic notice that the policy documents have been generated with or without a PDF of the policy documents.

Doug Johnston, vice president, partner relations and product innovation, Applied Systems, says, "Our initiative with Chubb will automatically update activities and images, placing valuable information directly into an agency's workflow—saving users time and reducing agency costs." '

Dave Acker, vice president, connectivity product management, Vertafore, said, "Today's competitive business landscape demands speed to market and cost efficiency to succeed.'Together, with Chubb, we are delivering innovative business solutions that allow our users seamless, electronic access to commercial account related information around the clock."
