PeopleSoft has announced its PeopleSoft 8 CRM, which the Pleasanton, CA-based company describes as the industry's first pure Internet CRM solution. Supported by the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA), the new CRM system addresses sales, marketing, help desk, support interaction management and field services—along with embedded analytics and open, seamless integration, the company says. PeopleSoft CRM 8 will be available June 29.

SAS Institute (Cary, NC) and BroadVision (Las Vegas) signed a memorandum of understanding whereby the companies will create an alliance integrating BroadVision business applications with SAS' CRM and data warehousing solutions.

Chordiant Software (Cupertino, CA) has enhanced its Chordiant Marketing Director Suite. Chordiant's Marketing Director Suite 3 includes enhanced encryption features and the ability to combine multiple offers in a single communication, claims Chordiant.
